Alan Bell

1932-2002

Alan Bell served as Senior Research Scientist for The Kinsey Institute from 1967-1981. Dr. Bell's significant contributions were made through his work as sex researcher, professor of counseling and educational psychology, poet, ex-minister, and psychotherapist. While at the Kinsey Institute, Dr. Bell, with Martin Weinberg, published Homosexualities (1978) and
Sexual Preference (1981), which provided a standard for examining sexual orientation.
