During 1997-1998 The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction, Inc., celebrated 50 years of research and development of its special collections. The Institute was incorporated in 1947 as the Institute for Sex Research (ISR) by Dr. Alfred Kinsey. In 1948, the first of Kinsey's landmark studies, Sexual Behavior in the Human Male (W.B. Saunders) was published.

Reprint Editions of the Original "Kinsey Reports" and Kinsey Data

In May 1998, I.U. Press issued reprints of Sexual Behavior in the Human Male, Sexual Behavior in the Human Female, with a new introduction by John Bancroft, M.D., and The Kinsey Data: Marginal Tabulations of the 1938-1963 Interviews.
