The Kinsey Institute Board of Governors and Board of Trustees consist of a minimum of five members, the majority of whom must be members of the faculty of Indiana University or members of its Foundation.

The Honorable Michael Kirby, who will be rejoining the Kinsey Institute Board of Governors in July, was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree and addressed graduates at the IU Graduation, May 9, 2009.
