2006-2007 Faculty-Student Collaborative Research Grant Program

Purpose : To advance the development of future scholars in sexuality-related fields and to support their collaboration with an established faculty mentor, the Friends of The Kinsey Institute is pleased to announce the 2006-2007 Faculty-Student Collaborative Research Grant Program. Through this program, funds are available to support sexuality-related research projects that are being conducted collaboratively between a student and a faculty member of Indiana University.

Applicant Eligibility: Each application must reflect a collaborative effort between a faculty member and a student. The student applicant must be enrolled in an Indiana University academic program at the time of their application and during the period covered by the proposed research. The faculty member must be a full-time faculty member of Indiana University in a tenured, tenure-eligible, or clinical position. Each student can only receive one grant per academic year, but faculty with multiple students can be represented on multiple applications. Applicants from a diverse range of academic disciplines are encouraged to apply. The research should represent an original project conceptualized by, and that will be conducted by, the faculty-student collaborative. Awards will not be made for projects that have already been completed.

Maximum Award and Deadlines: A maximum of $500.00 will be awarded to support the proposed project. For each project awarded funding, an additional $100 will be awarded to the faculty member to support their ongoing research program. All funds will be deposited into the research account of the faculty member and the faculty member has the responsibility of overseeing the distribution of funds that are dedicated to the project. Applications must be received by November 1, 2006. Notifications of award will be made approximately 45 days following the application deadline.
