This exhibition of over fifty photographs, prints, and paintings from the Kinsey Institute's photography, art, and library holdings is designed to illustrate the representation of the kiss within the collections and to explore the definition and significance of representations of the kiss within diverse cultures. This selection of works from the United States, France, Japan, China, and Iran will be on display in the Indiana University School of Fine Arts Gallery from October 23 - November 24, 1998. These pieces, made by amateur, commercial, and professional artists, were created in a variety of situations and for a range of viewers. The images depict power kisses, chivalrous kisses, lusty kisses, and everything in between. See a sample of the exhibit's images on the Web page of the Indiana University School of Fine Arts (SOFA) Gallery under Past Exhibits.
