The Kinsey Institute: Oral Contraceptive Study, Slide 7/12

Pill Assignment

Women are randomly assigned to a monophasic pill (Ortho-Cyclen) or a triphasic pill (Ortho Tri-Cyclen) by the health care provider. These pills are matched for estrogen content. The progestin in both is norgestimate, but its dose differs over the monthly cycle.
