Sexual desire and sexual orientation

DESCRIPTION:

This study has two main goals. One goal is to clarify the definition of sexual desire. There is a great deal of debate, currently, about what sexual desire is and what that might mean for diagnoses having to do with problems of sexual desire. The second goal is to explore the meaning of a particular sexual orientation. However, since you may decide to participate in this ongoing study, we cannot tell you more about the theoretical background at this point.

Persons of all sexual orientations and genders are invited to participate in this study. It consists of 5 questionnaires that are all to be completed online. The opening page describes in greater detail how we protect participants' confidentiality, what types of questions are on the questionnaires, and what you will receive in return. If you still have any questions about the study after reading that page, feel free to contact study investigators by email (study@indiana.edu) or phone (812-855-7686).

FINDINGS:

Data collection for this study is completed. Analyses are beginning and may be completed by September 1, 2003. Please feel free to check this page in the future for a summary of the results from this study. Thank you for your interest.

INVESTIGATORS:
