Sexual Desire Study for Women

Study #0702-13 (IUPUI)/ #07-11768 (IUB)

Researchers at The Kinsey Institute are conducting this study in order to gain a better understanding of women’s sexual desire, and to develop better methods for measuring sexual desire. The study involves a brief telephone interview, and either 2 or 5 visits to our laboratory. We have one lab in Indianapolis, and one lab in Bloomington.

  • We are seeking premenopausal, heterosexual and bisexual women, between the ages of 18 – 45, who experience low, average or high levels of sexual desire, and who have been in a monogamous, sexual relationship for at least 12 months.

  • We are also seeking post-menopausal, heterosexual and bisexual women, between the ages of 50 – 65, who experience low sexual desire, and have been in a monogamous, sexual relationship for at least 12 months.

Participants can earn between $50 and $220 for their participation in the study. Research sessions for this project are being held in Indianapolis and Bloomington. To obtain more information about the study, email Sarah Hahn skhahn@indiana.edu, or call 812-856-0314 or 317-278-1117.
