What drives sexual compulsivity & taking risks?

Dr. Erick Janssen and Dr. Heather Hoffman have begun a new project investigating how learning, or conditioning, and alcohol contribute to the development of sexual compulsivity and sexual risk taking.

The long-term goal of the research is to generate information for more effective intervention programs for sexual compulsion and risk-taking that would contribute to reducing the spread of HIV/AIDS.

This study is now underway in two Midwest labs.
