Dr. Månsson's research addresses prostitution in contemporary and
historical contexts, trafficking, and the use of pornography by adolescents.

Dr. Cerny's research was on the psychophysiological processes of sexual
behavior. He wasinvolved in studies on the voluntary control of ejaculation
in men and on the development of new measures of sexual response in
women.
Elise Chenier (September 1999 - May 2000)
Dept. of History, Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada
Funded by the Fulbright Foundation.
Ms. Chenier's current project is a study of the introduction of psychiatric
and psychological treatment programs for sex offenders in Ontario prisons.
She comes to the Institute as part of a Fulbright program. Her previous
work includes a social history of postwar lesbian bar culture in Toronto.
Richard A. Crosby,
Ph.D. (June, 2002)
Assistant Professor, Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University,
Atlanta, Ga.
While at the Institute, Dr. Crosby collaborated with Drs. Yarber, Sanders
and Graham to analyze and interpret findings from a survey designed to
assess errors and problems that people experience when they use condoms.

the role of classical conditioning in sexual arousal.

Gathorne-Hardy researched Sex, The Measure of All Things: A Life of
Alfred C. Kinsey published in London by Chatto & Windus in 1998
and Indiana University Press in 2000.
Dongwoo Kang, M.D.
(May 2003-April 2004)
Seoul, Korea
Dr. Kang is a neuropsychiatrist from South Korea. During his scholarship
at the Institute, Dr. Kang received training in clinical sexology with
Dr. John Bancroft, the Director of the Kinsey Institute and the Kinsey
Sexual Health Clinic. He has also participated in the development of research
protocol and observed various aspects of research and therapy in human
sexual behavior, with a goal of designing a collaborative research project
to be carried out upon his return to Korea.

He joins the Institute's research team working on epidemiological studies
of personality traits related to sexual response, inhibition, and sexual
function.
Joanne J. Meyerowitz, Ph.D. (SSRC Fellow, 1996-1997)

Indiana University.
Dr. Meyerowitz was awarded a Postdoctoral Sexuality Research Fellowship
from the Social Science Research Council to conduct research for a book
on the history of transsexuality in the United States, 1930-1970. For

Pedro Nobre, Ph.D. (September 2007)

Director, Master Program in Clinical Psychology, Trás-os-Montes University, Portugal
Dr. Nobre conducts cross cultural studies, examining an individual’s
psychological vulnerability and the role of these factors on sexual
dysfunction. He is currently collecting data in Portugal, US, Italy,
Turkey, and Brazil. He is also conducting a longitudinal study using scales
developed at The Kinsey Institute (Sexual Inhibition and Sexual
Excitation scales) and measures of sexual beliefs and cognitive
schemas to predict sexual satisfaction and dysfunction.
Jakob Pastoetter,

Mr. Pastoetter was doing research in the Institute's film/video collection
for this doctoral thesis, "Structures
and Functions of Pornographic Films."
His focus is on changes in films from the early 1970's to today and what
they tell us about fantasies and fears connected with sexuality.
Meredith A. Reynolds, Ph.D.
(SSRC Fellow 1997-1999)
After completing a year as a Fulbright Fellow in Spain, Dr. Reynolds was
awarded a Social Science Research Council fellowship to study the characteristics
and effects of childhood sexual play experiences through a survey of university
students and secondary analyses of original Kinsey Institute interview
data.

Aleksandar Stulhofer, Ph.D. (July - August, 2007 and March

Assistant Professor of Sociology, University of Zagreb, Croatia.
Dr. Stulhofer's research included: an analysis of the US and Dutch school-based
sex education curricula, cross-cultural study (Croatia, US, and Ukraine)
of sexual risk-taking in late adolescence (in collaboration with the University
of Southern Oregon), and a survey based research on habitual pornography
users (in collaboration with the California State University Northridge).
