-- Offers Master's and Doctor of Education programs in Human Sexuality. The Master's and doctoral programs continue the tradition of the graduate program at University of Pennsylvania where it operated from 1976-1999. The curriculum has both education and clinical tracks. Educators, counselors, therapists and others who wish to become certified sex educators, to do counseling therapy, to get advanced training, or to engage in sex research may apply. The mission of the program is to prepare professionals to teach, consult, counsel, and conduct research/evaluation in a variety of educational and cultural settings on the complex issue of sexuality. Advancing Sexualities Studies Short Course - an online training tool to develop critical sexuality studies research and scholarship. All course modules are openly available under a Creative Commons licence. Available from SexualityStudies.net. Engender Health, New York, NY
(formally AVSC International) has recently developed an online minicourse called "Sexuality and Sexual Health". This online, self-instructional mini-course is a basic introduction to sexuality and sexual health. Designed for healthcare providers, the course provides information on such topics as sexual anatomy and physiology, stages of male and female sexual development, and sexual dysfunction.

International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Psychology Summer Institute, University of Michigan, Michigan, US.
August 2nd to 6th, 2010
A collaboration between the Departments of Psychology and Women’s Studies at the University of Michigan, the Summer Institute is a week-long residential program in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The Institute will provide a unique venue for an intensive exchange of ideas among senior, junior and graduate student scholars located across LGBT psychology. Ten leading scholars in the field of LGBT Psychology from the US and the UK aim to foster their professional development as emerging LGBT psychologists. These “senior scholars” represent expertise in LGBT and gender studies and many sub-fields of psychology including biological psychology, clinical psychology, community psychology, developmental psychology, feminist psychology, health psychology, sexology, social psychology, and the history of psychology. It is our hope that the Institute will help us create an ‘invisible college’ of interdisciplinary and international psychologists working in this area. NSRC Summer Institute on Race, Gender, and Sexuality, SFSU, San Francisco, US

The National Sexuality Resource Center at San Francisco State University is hosting it's 9th annual Summer Institute on Sexuality. We are now accepting applications, and we hope you'll join us! This year's theme is Sexual Health and Healthy Sexuality: A Socio-Cultural Perspective. Participants will explore concepts of sexuality and health through a critical analysis of race, gender, sexuality, age, disability and religion. This year’s program will feature preeminent sexuality research scholars whose work challenge conventional paradigms about sexual health.

Admissions are rolling with deadline for international applicants on April 1, 2010.

Research in HIV Intervention: Skills for the Community (RHISC), Hunter College, New York, US.
2010 & 2011 dates TBA.
Offered by the Center for Community and Urban Health at Hunter College. A four-year fellowship program to be held at the Center, which will run from Summer 2009 until Summer 2012. RHISC consists of three annual 6-week research career and skill development Summer Institutes, taught by highly experienced researchers in the field, and four years of year-round mentoring. RHISC will recruit 8 minority early career academic faculty and advanced degree professional health and service providers ("Fellows") from the greater NYC metro-politan area.

Accepted Fellows will receive free tuition for all Summer Institute sessions, waivers of course fees for approved courses at the City University of New York (CUNY), a stipend of over $5,000 per summer, up to $10,000 in pilot award monies for approved projects, course release or compensation equivalent to $2,500 for approved year-round re-search-related and/or career-building activities, travel monies to one approved thematically-related professional conference per year, year-round mentoring by a RHISC faculty member and by a home institution mentor, and access to other ca-reer support resources available through participation in the program.
