Help Frame a Mapplethorpe Masterpiece

In 2011, the art collection at The Kinsey Institute received a gift from the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation of 30 photographs by photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, documenting the sexual lives of people in his social circle in the 1970s and early 1980s. This is the only major collection of his work in a museum or university in the Midwest.

We invite you be a part of this collection by making a tax-deductible donation to contribute to the cost of archival framing ($200 per item) of these iconic portraits. We will acknowledge your gift in a list of donors at the exhibition, Robert Mapplethorpe: Photographs from The Kinsey Institute, appearing at the Grunwald Gallery of Art from October 10 - November 22, 2014.

Join us in the Kinsey gallery to preview these photographs for framing:

Friday, August 15
1pm - 5 pm
Kinsey Institute, Morrison Hall

If you cannot attend but would like to contribute, please Give Now online, or contact Pat Lacy to pay by check. To preview the images, contact Catherine Johnson-Roehr.
