The Kinsey Institute’s film, video, and audio collection is one of the most extensive of its kind, featuring over 12,000 items, including both commercial and amateur productions. The collection spans a wide range of formats including film, cassette, discs, audio recordings, and digital footage with titles dating from the early 20th century through today. Holdings include international erotica and pornography, historical footage, sex education and therapy, stag films, nature documentaries, and informational lectures.

Film and Video Access Policies
- The film archive and video collection are available to qualified patrons for on-site viewing only. An appointment is required for viewing video or film, and the film archives requires two-week notice.
- Films and videos are not loaned out for public or private viewings.
- General information on most of the titles in our collection is listed in our library catalog.
